It's just a year since John and Sharon Fox took on the challenge of running their own pub and despite the difficult economical climate and more and more pubs closing everyday it's a decision they certainly don't regret. John said "It is hard work but very rewarding. This is very much a community pub and the number of locals coming in regularly has gradually increased over the year."

Popular entertainment and traditional pub games have been at the heart of their success, John and Sharon have introduced an extremely popular Poker night every Thursday to complement the weekly Karaoke and music sessions. In addition in February they are running a special Valentine's Mr and Mrs Competition.

The couple also support 2 darts teams, dominoes teams and 2 pool teams. All in all they are delighted with their progress so far and are now looking forward to building on their first year's success. 10 02 10
