    K2 had a ½ million pound refurbishment at Easter in 2008 and still looks in great shape. The site is live-off and operates from Thursday to Sunday 10pm until 3am with a 500 capacity.

    The new general manager will benefit from a strong staff team already in place and the close support of the managed house team in close proximity.

    The post requires an entrepreneurial manager who will also be able to pick up our managed house processes quickly and be able to deliver top line sales growth.

    The GM will be responsible for many aspects of the business including;

      * Branding and development of the events and nights
    1. * Marketing and promotions work
    2. * P&L responsibility
    3. * Stocking and drinks policies
    4. * High customer service levels
    5. * Implementation of strict controls in the business from stock to health and safety
    6. * Staff development and motivation

    We are looking for a manager with a proven track record in local nightclubs or late night operations who leads from the front and is willing to become a lead figure in the community that K2 serves. You will have proven P&L success and glowing references from previous employers.

  • We are looking for an exceptionally talented Deputy General Manager to support the General Manager in his absence.

  • Your role will be to cover all management responsibilities in the absence of the general manager and progress all activities proactively to ensure the smooth running of the operation. Key responsibilities include:-

Support the GM with strategic planning, sales, marketing, budgets and forecasting;

  1. Promote continuous improvement through departmental initiatives;
  2. Fulfil various HR responsibilities including recruitment and selection, employee relations and employment law, coaching/training staff, labour scheduling;
  3. Identify business needs and plan, prioritise and set goals to achieve targets;
  4. Use competitor analysis, local network and business contacts to demonstrate awareness of strengths and opportunities;
  5. Drive and motivate the team to deliver results against set targets.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous branded restaurant management experience, a good understanding of brand standards and their implementation, and excellent customer service skills and manner. Being at the forefront of the operation, you must have an immaculate appearance, be smart, presentable and friendly.
  • Other key characteristics of the desired management team we are looking for include:-
  1. Attention to detail.
  2. Sense of humour – ability to relieve a stressful working environment and motivate/inspire other staff.
  3. Strong financial acumen with ability to understand figures.
  4. Strong food background.
  • The salary for this position is £20,000 - £22,000 per annum, based on a 48 hour week, 5/7 days.
