Boltmaker calls for something more robust, due to the punchy malty flavour and then the spicy hop. For a snack, it’s great with a Scotch Egg with mustard on the side, or a wedge of pork pie with piccalilli. Boltmaker stands up to the rich flavours of slow cooked meats like short beef rib and beef carbonnade. But it comes into its own with gammon steaks and roast belly pork (or even pork scratchings!).
