Charity & Community

At Timothy Taylor’s, we believe a great brewery should do far more than brew great beer. It should strengthen the place it calls home. It should lift the people who live and work around it. It should support those who need supporting.

Our Community

As one of Keighley’s largest employers – with deep roots stretching back generations – we carry a responsibility that goes far beyond our brewery walls.

Our commitment to community and sustainability is not a box to be ticked; it is a promise. A promise to champion the wellbeing of our town, support those who support others, and safeguard the environment that shapes the future of British brewing.

Our brewery has always been woven into the fabric of Keighley. We are proud of that heritage – and even prouder of the impact we can make today.

Supporting Local & National Charities

Through our Charity Committee, we’re committed to helping causes that matter. In 2025 alone, we contributed over £28,000 in donations, provided free beer and merchandise, and donated casks and kegs to boost fundraising efforts across the region. Altogether, we supported more than 20 registered local charities, ensuring help reached those who needed it most.

We also supported The Drinks Trust, backing the wider hospitality community, and provided hundreds in matched funding for colleagues’ own fundraising initiatives. Ten of our employees proudly contributed over 100 hours of reading time to Chapter One, helping improve literacy for local children.

A local charity that is close to our hearts is Manorlands, the Sue Ryder hospice in nearby Oxenhope. For over 15 years, a member of our Executive Team has served on its ‘Challenge Committee’, helping to organise the Coniston Challenge and the Beef & Beer Dinner – two major annual events that have raised over £1 million for the hospice since 2004.

We try and support charities however we can, so if you have a request for a local charity, please contact us by emailing charitycommittee@timtaylors.co.uk.

Championing Local Sport & Culture

Community spirit thrives in the clubs, teams and traditions that bring people together.

We proudly sponsor grassroots sport and clubs, including the Craven & District Cricket League, Airedale Quiz League, and a range of local football, rugby and cricket clubs.

Being an Active Local Partner

Our engagement goes far beyond sponsorships. A member of our team sits on Keighley BID, the Keighley Sounding Board, and the Bradford Steering Group – helping drive local business and community growth.

We also try to 'buy local' wherever possible. This can range from support services such as office cleaning and tyre purchase to major capital expenditure – for example, our boiler was built by Byworth Boilers of Keighley and local builders RN Wooler were principal contractors for our brewery extension and pub refurbishments.
