Our Team

At Timothy Taylor’s, we pride ourselves on the quality of our people as much as we do our beer.

Since 1858 we have steadfastly preserved our status as a family owned, fiercely independent company. We have a great team at the helm who are dedicated to continuing our founder’s legacy of brewing exceptional cask ales and ensuring that future generations will enjoy our beers for many years to come.

Our executive team has decades-long experience of strong operational and business leadership within the world of premium drinks brands, and our highly skilled hands-on brewers oversee every single brew. We have a fully supportive Board behind us as we invest further in brewing quality to grow our leadership position in the cask ale market and create the next successful chapter in our history.

Meet the people behind the beer.

Our Board

As a proudly independent, family-owned brewery, Timothy Taylor’s is still guided by the descendants of Timothy Taylor himself. Continuing the family legacy, helping to safeguard the values, character, and quality that have defined our brewery since 1858.

Alongside them, our wider Board, under the leadership of Tim Clarke, brings extensive expertise, strategic insight, and a shared passion for maintaining the exceptional standards of our beer. Together, they support long-term stewardship of the business, champion our commitment to cask ale, and ensure the brewery continues to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Our Board Members: Tim Clarke (Chairperson), John Walsh, Ben Dent, Sarah Rouhani, Claire Hodgson, James Simpson, and Patrick Dardis.

Our Leadership Team

Our Executive Team, under the leadership of Chief Executive Andrew Carter, shape the long-term vision and strategic direction of the company, develop a culture that harnesses team passion and commitment, and balances performance and wellbeing, ensuring every department has what it needs to do its best work.

From finance to people, sales to operations, and marketing to our pubs, this team leads with integrity, ambition, and a shared dedication to protecting the reputation of Timothy Taylor’s beers for future generations.

Our Brewers

One of the most important ingredients in every Taylor’s beer is our people – especially our highly trained brewers: Emma, Andrew, Nick, and Ewan.

They oversee every stage of brewing by hand, rather than relying on computers, and every brew begins with one of them mashing in each morning. Using their senses of taste and smell, they test all ingredients and sample each brew multiple times to ensure quality and consistency.

Their craft and constant fine-tuning are what keep every pint worthy of the Timothy Taylor’s name.

Our Team

Behind every cask, keg, and bottle is a hard-working team committed to doing things the right way. From logistics, sales, and marketing to finance, operations, admin, engineering, and brewing, each person brings specialist skills and a shared pride in the beer we produce.

It’s this teamwork – many talents working with one purpose – that helps us remain a successful, independent, family-owned brewery. Every department and every individual plays a part in making our beer the best it can be.

Our Pub Estate

At the heart of Timothy Taylor’s is the British pub, and our pub estate is brought to life by the dedicated publicans who run them day in, day out. These are passionate, hardworking individuals who pour their energy into creating welcoming, well-kept pubs that sit at the centre of their local communities.

From maintaining immaculate cellars to serving every pint in perfect condition, our publicans take immense pride in their craft. They support local events, foster a sense of belonging, and work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that every visit is one worth repeating. Their commitment to quality, community, and hospitality is fundamental to the enjoyment of Timothy Taylor’s beer – and to the enduring role of the pub in British life.
