On Thursday 6 August 2026, Timothy Taylor’s will celebrate a very special milestone: the 200th birthday of our founder, Timothy Taylor.
To mark the occasion, we’re giving away 200 free pints of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord at two of our Keighley pubs. There will be 100 free pints available at Taylor’s on the Green and 100 free pints available at The Boltmakers Arms during trading hours on Thursday 6 August 2026.
It’s our way of inviting local drinkers, regulars and fans of Timothy Taylor’s to raise a pint to the man who started it all.
Celebrating Timothy Taylor, Our Founder
Timothy Taylor was born in Bingley, West Yorkshire, on 6 August 1826. After beginning his working life in the family tailoring trade, he went on to establish Timothy Taylor’s Brewery in Keighley in 1858.
Five years later, in 1863, brewing moved to Knowle Spring Brewery, where our beers are still brewed today. The water from the Knowle Spring aquifer continues to play an important part in the character of our beers, helping shape the taste of Taylor’s enjoyed by generations of drinkers.
More than 165 years after Timothy Taylor first began brewing, his commitment to quality, consistency and proper Yorkshire brewing continues to guide us today.

200 Free Pints of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
As part of Timothy Taylor’s 200th birthday celebration, we’re giving away 200 free pints of Landlord, our classic pale ale and one of the UK’s best-loved cask ales.
The giveaway will take place across two Keighley pubs:
- Taylor’s on the Green - There will be 100 free pints of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord available at Taylor’s on the Green, our Keighley-based tap room and kitchen.
- The Boltmakers Arms - There will also be 100 free pints of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord available at The Boltmakers Arms, the smallest pub in Keighley, but everything you could want from a traditional Yorkshire pub.
