Timothy Taylor’s Supports Local Mental Health Charity’s Winter Appeal

Local mental health charity Mind in Bradford launched its Winter Appeal last month in a bid to raise £15,000 before Christmas Eve. Their appeal was launched in response to the unprecedented demand for their free mental health services.

Mind in Bradford is an independent local charity which is affiliated to the national charity, Mind. The charity delivers mental health support to everyone in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale, and Craven.

Timothy Taylor’s were delighted to be able to donate a generous £500 by sponsoring a bauble on Mind in Bradford’s virtual tree. The charity is hoping to raise over £15,000 before Christmas Eve to help towards funding their vital services which it says could fund:

  • Over 1,000 calls and live chats to Guide-Line, available 365 days a year.
  • Over 500 urgent crisis support sessions for anyone experiencing mental health distress.
  • Over 65 children and young people in Central Bradford could access 8-weeks of 1:1 support.

Lydia Ngwenya, Fundraising Manager for Mind in Bradford, said: "No one should have to suffer a mental health problem alone, that’s why we have over 10 different services that can all be accessed for free by people of all ages whenever they are struggling and need some support.

"I am blown away by the community support that businesses throughout Bradford District have been able to provide. Every business able to sponsor our winter appeal is making a real lasting impact to people’s lives."

Scott Cameron, Senior Brand Manager at Timothy Taylor’s, said: "We know how critical and life-changing the services are that Mind in Bradford provide, and to be in a position to help support that work is hugely important to us here at Timothy Taylor’s."
