The Perfect Pint of Timothy Taylor’s

When you order a pint of Timothy Taylor’s, it should taste exactly as we intended – every time.

Clear and bright. Smooth and balanced. Aromatic, with a tight, creamy head. From the first sip to the last, the experience in your glass should reflect the care taken at every stage of its journey.

That consistency doesn’t happen by chance. It’s the result of quality, protected and perfected all the way from brewery to bar.

Built on Quality

Every pint begins with exceptional ingredients.

We brew with pure Knowle Spring water, high-grade barley varieties such as Golden Promise, whole-leaf hops for balanced bitterness and aroma, and our own unique Taylor’s Taste yeast – carefully nurtured to give our beers their distinctive character.

Once brewed, our casks are transported in temperature-controlled lorries to protect flavour and freshness on their journey to pubs across the UK.

But brewing great beer is only part of delivering a perfect pint.

Cellar Conditioning: Where the Beer Comes to Life

Before a pint reaches the bar, it spends time conditioning in the pub cellar – a crucial stage in developing flavour, clarity and balance.

Cask ale is a living product. In the cellar, it is allowed to settle naturally and mature under carefully managed conditions. Temperature control, correct venting and patient handling ensure the beer clarifies properly and reaches its peak.

This stage is essential. Done well, it ensures the beer pours bright, tastes balanced and delivers the smooth character we brewed into it. It’s the bridge between brewery and bar – and a vital step in ensuring your pint tastes exactly as it should.

The 5 STARS Perfect Pour

Cask ale is alive with flavour. The way it’s served shapes the taste, texture and aroma in your glass.

Our 5 STARS Perfect Pour is the finishing touch to everything that happens in the brewery. It ensures every pint of Timothy Taylor’s is clear, bright, aromatic and crowned with a tight, creamy head.

The sparkler plays a crucial role. As the beer passes through, it’s gently aerated, creating fine, uniform bubbles. These tiny bubbles form the signature creamy head while softening the texture and enhancing the smooth, rounded mouthfeel we’re known for. They also help carry hop and malt aromas upwards, so the first thing you notice is that inviting, fresh aroma.

Then comes the settle – an essential part of the experience. As the beer rests in the glass, it transforms from lively and cloudy to beautifully clear and bright. Flavours knit together, bitterness softens, and the head stabilises into a smooth, velvety crown.

The final top-up completes the pint, building the perfect head and sealing in freshness. The result is balanced from top to bottom – visually striking, aromatic and consistently smooth.
