Flood damaged pub back open for business

We are delighted that one of our pubs, The Brown Cow in Bingley, reopened its doors on Thursday 21st April after an enforced closure following the devastating Boxing Day 2015 floods.

The blow was even harder to take given that Timothy Taylor’s had only recently invested £100,000 refurbishing the pub and business was booming. Filthy flood water rose to 5ft 10˝ when the river Aire burst its banks. Due to the location of the pub the flood damage was uninsured so Timothy Taylor’s has invested a further £133,000 of funds to reopen this popular community venue and enable tenants Jo and Matt Hogg, plus their young family, to move back in and resume the running of their business.

An extensive range of well- kept Timothy Taylor’s championship beers can be found on the bar. The Brown Cow is the ideal pub to pop in to for a relaxing pint or a delicious meal chosen from the lunch and evening menus. www.browncowbingley.com
